 This dream has been in
Philip Mok's mind since years before. In these 20 years,
he worked hard in order to achieve his dream, that's to build an extensive
rehabilitation village. Inside it will include drug rehab centre, old folks
home, youth centre, and many more.
Drug rehabilitation starts from the heart
Philip Mok's true story impressed many people. When people hear "Philip Mok"
this name, they will say he is a superhero for the old folks, drug addicts, and
trouble youths. He is a general superintendent now! Glory to the Lord, Jesus! |
Mr. Mok recalled and said, "I have been in this ministry 20 years, I started off
at Kuala Lumpur. Now, we have our centre in Ipoh, Klang, Seremban, Melaka, and
east of Malaysia."
In all these ministries, many people would say drug rehabilitation is the hardest. This is because drug addicts good in acting and
bluffing. They will act and lie to their friends so that they can get money to
buy drugs. When the drug addicts do not enjoy in the centre, they will try to
bluff our workers.
Mr. Mok said outsider will face a lot of difficulties if they
involve in this ministry, because they would not understand what drug addicts
are thinking. It will not be considered a success if the drug addict does not
receive rehabilitation in his will.
"As a man that has gone through it all, this ministry would not be so difficult
for me. I can easily spot them if they lied to me," Mok said happily.
This can be proved by seeing his success in this past
20 years.
Rent a bungalow as old folks home
As his career climbs higher, he found that more and more senior citizens that do
not bother by their children and left them alone, so, he open an elderly home to
help those old folks.
He thinks old folks should enjoy their life and live in a comfortable place, so, he rented a bungalow as old folks home. It is spacious
and the environment is peaceful. It is suitable for old citizens to stay.
Youth centre changes trouble youths
After this, he again worried about a social problem that becoming more and more
serious, that's trouble youth. They became a rebel because they lack of love and
care from their parents. Most of their parents' marriage failed and they
divorced.
Similarly, Philip Mok rented a bungalow for these youth and named this
building "Youth Centre". Under the influence and caring from our trained
workers, those youth changed and realized what they should not do. They learned
to love and accept their parents.
Our old folks and youth lived comfortably, however, when years pass, our rental,
electrical, and water charges increased, our expenses eventually become higher.
Sometimes we can't even get their full salary. In times of difficulties, many
clubs, societies, and large organization will donate either money or food to us.
God really blessed us a lot!
Rehabilitation garden - the biggest dream
Philip Mok shared his dream and vision. He said his biggest dream is to
establish a rehabilitation village. The better is to have an empty space of more
than 10 hectares.
"In the village, we will setting-up old folks home, youth
centre, children home, and drug rehabilitation centre. Subsequently, we may also
establish single mother ministry," said Mr. Mok.
"If this village successfully establish, many problems can be solved. For
instance, a drug addict may refuse to enter a drug rehabilitation centre because
he may worry of his wife and children. But with this village, his entire family
can move and stay together," explained Mr. Mok.
"Nowadays, everyone is busy, especially people that live in the city. Parents
and adults often busy for their career and left their family behind. Their kids
and old parents need to be took care. This rehabilitation village can help
lower-classed society.
If rich business men agree to sponsor our monthly
expenses regularly, we then will allow poor and needy citizens to stay in here
for free," said Mr. Mok with excitement. He had already completed a proposal and
shared the vision to several business men and kind-hearted people.
As our society becoming ill day by day, we really need professional help as a
remedy to our sick society! We wish everyone can lend us a helping hand and help
us to fulfill this magnificent vision!
