said: there is only one thing that is to forget the past, “nevertheless, to the
degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, and let us
be of the same mind.” (Philippians 3: 13-16).
We should understand a truth, a Christian's life is by no means a negative and
pessimistic life, neither is it a life that shuns the world. But instead, it is
positive and real.
A Christian should be glad to live in the reality of life and not trying to
escape from it. Because only by living in the reality of |
life, one can have practical life accomplishments and manifest the glory of
Christ in real life.
Therefore, a normal and most effective Christian should take hold of the
present or today, and bear only the burden for the day, that is experiencing
the things for that day, and experience God in the various situations of his
life and obey Him. Thus, in this way, one will be able to understand and
obey God’s will and decree.
If our life really conforms to God’s decree, then we will able to benefit
others, and this is what real life is about. The reasons why many people
live in defeat, pitiful, shameful and loss because they cannot live in
obedience to God’s decree.
We should not always live in the remorse of yesterday, and pre-occupied with
tomorrow, yet forget to live for today. In this way, we will live in today's
resentments especially in regrets, and always trying to escape from the
reality of life. In the end, without we realizing it, much of the precious
time of our life will be wasted and we can only sigh with regrets. As we
look behind, we realize we had traversed a path that has not been easy, full
of ups and downs and hardships and uncertainties.
I must live in the reality of today, relating all the people, happenings and
matters to the Lord. In this way, I will discover many of His miracles, and
the glory of God will often be manifested in my life.
Other people will be able to benefit from our experience and therefore, what
we gained will become immeasurable. What we can be sure of is that God can
manifest and glorify Himself through us with this kind of live. If we can
maintain such state of life, unconsciously we will exude His magnificent
brilliance. Hallelujah! We must take the opportunity of today to exhort each
other daily.
