Joannabelle Ng Li Vun, Miss Universe Malaysia 2009,
has always been a philanthropist at heart. This beautiful, talented and
easy-going lass from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, has always been passionate about
helping others whom are in need.
On June 13, 2010, Joannabelle visited Rumah Victory Elderly Home at Jalan Klang
Lama where she encountered another one of her most unforgettable experiences.
She chatted with a 97 years old woman and danced with a 93 years old woman.
Later in the day Joannabelle setup dinner for all the old folks, "I'm so glad
that I got to be part of these people's life today" she said.
Joannabelle is a full-time model who begins her journey as a |
model began when she was just 16.
She won the first prize in the Sabah Model Search Contest, which became the
major turning point for her. It was then that she decided to further pursue
modeling.
One of her most unforgettable experiences after being crowned was when she
and a friend volunteered to take a group of 30 orphans to KFC for a treat.
"To watch them eat eagerly, and to fight for extra portions of chicken
brought tears to my eyes. I was really moved", said Joannabelle.
Jo-B Care started with her simple idea of helping charitable causes on a
bigger scale. She decided to use her influence as Miss Universe Malaysia
2009 to the fullest advantage in reaching more people. It is a team of
philanthropists comprising Joannabelle Ng and Fametis Management &
Associates (FMA) who focus on providing assistance to other organizations,
charity homes, and underprivileged communities in terms of funding or goods.
To provide essential services and to remain committed to helping enrich the
lives of people impacted by illness or other difficulties in life.
Joannabelle hopes that Jo-B Care can be a strong motivator for charitable
causes in Malaysia. She also hopes to raise enough funds and make Jo-B Care
an official foundation to continue their effort, and serving their mission
slogan "Share to Care" continuously.
