Rumah Victory has successfully organized our
Parents Charity Fair for the fund raising of our elderly home on June 12, 2010.
Mr. Tan Koon Swan, JP, was our special invited guest for the opening of the food
and fun fair.
The food and fun fair began at 10 am and ended at about 4 pm. Thousands of
kind-hearted people from all walks of life attended the fair.
At noon, Pastor Ong Kah Hoo started the opening ceremony by giving an
introduction to the audience followed by the testimony by one of our boarding
student Lim Ying Boon who is an orphan of Rumah Victory Youth and Elderly Home.
Single-parent boy Khoo Jia Sun from the same home also gave his testimony later. |
Boarding students of Rumah Victory Youth and Elderly Home presented a song
“Liang Shuang Shou” (Two Pairs of Hands) followed by the opening speech by
our special guest Mr. Tan Koon Swan, JP.
Tea serving ceremony was held at the fair with children and youngsters
serving tea to the elderly and their parents.
The one-day food and fun fair has successfully collected about RM70,000 for
the expansion of our Puchong elderly home. Thank you to all the kind-hearted
people who had enthusiastically supported in the Parents Charity Fair of
Rumah Victory.
