 I
have been serving in Rumah Victory's Children Home and Youth Centre for eight
years. My life has been changed by the children here. Sometimes, I will
discipline the students if they are naughty.
However the real purpose that I discipline them is not to hurt them, I want them
to realize what they did were actually wrong. It is heart-breaking when I see
some students make the same mistakes over and over again without trying to
change.
Other may judge these children as useless, rebellious and hopeless, but to me,
there is always a positive hope for a |
change with correct guidance.
Today, juvenile delinquency has become more serious, because of broken
families. Dysfunctional youth today are involved in various crimes like drug
abuse, smoking, stealing, robbery etc.
I would like to take this opportunity to plead to the parents to give their
time and show love, concern and care to their children, be their best friend
instead of stern parents.
I feel blessed and glad to serve the Lord in this challenging ministry! I
thank God for training my patience and love here, I learned a lot and I am
still learning!
Loh Chee Onn was a drug addict. After successfully break off
from drug addiction, he is looking forward toward a new life. Forgetting what
was behind, looking forward for his future.
