 In
February 23, 2006, because of family problem, my daughter sent me to Rumah Victory Elderly
Home. Due to my poor health, my feeble legs cannot walk properly. So most of my
time was laying on bed to read books, newspaper and listen to radio broadcast.
I am a staunch Buddhist. I took time to mediate, but no matter how, there was no
peace in my heart.
Rumah Victory is a Christian social organization. Founder Bro. Mok is a
Christian. Every morning, there is time for devotion, to sing praises to God,
sharing and teaching from the bible. But in my heart, I believed that every
religion is the same. So, I rejected Christianity. |
Monday to Thursday, pastor Ong will come to visit us and console us. In the
bible, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the
father except through me." (John 14:6). And in Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found
in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which
we must be saved."
I used to read a lot of books regarding Buddhism. And know that we got to do
good on earth to redeem our sin before we depart from this earth. But now I
realized that only accepted Jesus, then we have eternal life and then only we
found security in life and life yet to come.
In Ephesians 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no
one can boast."
On April 19, 2007 I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. And very sure that
when I pass away I will go to heaven i.e. I have eternal life. Now I no more
blaming God and men. Because Jesus promised to give us life, life more
abundantly. I have hope in life now and feel happy too.
